Biography
Jon White and his wife Ellen make their home outside Chappell Hill, Texas at their Rocking W Ranch where cutting horses have been a major focus of Jon's life for over 35 years. Jon's involvement with the NCHA is long and deep. He was an NCHA Executive Board member, past member of the Professional Trainer's Committee and an NCHA judge for over 20 years. Not only is Jon a lifetime member of the AQHA, he has judged the prestigious AQHA World Show 3 times. He is also a past member of the AQHA Professional Horsemen. Ellen has many titles herself in showing horses. She won the first 5 & 6 year-old NCHA Amateur Non-Pro in Kerrville, TX.

As a professional trainer, Jon has had many successes; among them, three-time NCHA Open winner in San Antonio Open and twice Open Cutting Champion of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. But his most proud cutting horse accomplishments have been as a father. Jon's oldest son Jon H. White is a member of the NCHA Youth Hall of Fame and his youngest son Justin is currently busy making his mark in the cutting horse world. After several years competing as a non-pro, Justin has turned pro as helps others compete and in addition, campaigns multiple horses at the highest ranks.

Committed to the cutting horse industry, Jon and Justin spend their days riding and training at the Rocking W. Although Jon now accepts only a limited number of "outside horses" Justin maintains a busy training schedule with a select group of young and aged horses.

In addition to being a long-time user or Priefert horse stalls and panels, Jon has this to say: "After several years of daily use of the Priefert Panel Walker, I can say it's the best application we have used for exercising and conditioning at a free-flow pace. It has shortened our time for prepping a horse prior to their work and for rehab on injuries that require walking. In addition to being virtually maintenance-free, with over 5 years of daily use, the walker's durability speaks for itself."
