Our Clinic formats focus on education and balance, regardless of the discipline, for both the horse and rider. This requires an investment and commitment of ongoing coaching and training.
I believe that barrel racing is not a “style” of riding; but a discipline or a sport requiring time honored horsemanship principles.
I believe that horses are not disposable. The programs are designed to give students horsemanship skills and tools to train their horses to be responsive to leg, seat and rein aids. The goal is to teach your horse to perform consistently, willingly, and to the best of his/her potential.
I believe it is important for riders to learn all aspects of their horse's care and encourage riders to create a “pit crew” of professionals to assist them in caring for their animals.
I believe knowledge is power and I encourage you to read and research whenever you can, then temper what you learn with your good common sense.
I believe in the concept of lifelong learning. As part of this growth process Barrel Racing Horsemanship102: No Excuses was added to our Clinic programs.
If you are not sure if you are ready to attend a Clinic as a riding student, either 101 or No Excuses: 102, I’d like to extend an invitation for you to audit a Clinic or email me with your questions. If you've taken 101 and are wondering if you're ready for the No Excuses: 102 Clinic but there isn't one in your area yet, remember there are always new or different things to learn or work on such as--technique, training, equipment, horse care, goal setting, strategy, and the mental and physical aspects of horse and rider--and Barrel Racing Horsemanship 101 continues to be a good place to do this. Just let me know what you want to work on at the Clinic.
I'd like to thank those students who have already joined me in our lifelong quest for learning.
