Overview
Priefert
Manufacturing, a steel fabrication and manufacturing organization located in
Mt. Pleasant, Texas, is actively seeking an experienced Cost Accountant.
Responsibilities
·
Provide
direction and assistance to organization regarding accounting and budgeting policies
and procedures, implementation of new practices and procedures, and efficient
control and utilization of financial resources.
·
Evaluate
the elements of cost estimates by examining material and activity cost elements
·
Develop
financial reports for financial analysis, forecasting, trending, and results
analysis.
·
Record,
classify, and summarize financial transactions and events in accordance with
generally accepted accounting principles.
·
Apply
a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations; verify documents for
completeness and compliance with government and private agencies.
·
Coordinate
financial statements, annual financial reports, audit activities, and other
information reports and requests; ensure accuracy and integrity of financial
reporting.
Required
Skills/Qualifications
- Minimum
5 years previous cost/accounting
experience
- Must
have advanced Excel Skills

Skills and Experience
- Experience
with MS Dynamics AX
- Experience
with Crystal Reports
- Experience
with a manufacturing / steel fabrication
organizations
- Experience
with SQL
