- 3x PBR World Finals Champion
Robson Palermo had many opportunities to ride calves with his friends while growing up on the family cattle ranch in the Amazon region of Brazil. At the age of only 14, he entered and won his first rodeo. Soon after, he won his second event and decided then to be a professional bull rider. By the age of 23, Robson Palermo was crowned the Brazilian Bull Riding Champion.
Seeking to take it to the next level, in 2006, Robson moved to the United States to compete in the PBR. Overcoming language and cultural differences, as well as changes in livestock and the rules of the sport, Robson found success his very first year and has qualified 10 times to the PBR World Finals in Las Vegas. He has won 13 major events at the PBR including being the only 3 time PBR World Finals Champion, which is considered the most difficult event in the world.
He was an integral part of the Brazilian team, which won the PBR World Cup in Queensland, Australia in 2007 and then again in Las Vegas, NV in 2008. Besides that he was elected by his peers to be the Head Coach of Team Brazil at the PBR Global Cup in Edmonton, Canada in 2017. Robson has continued to gain the respect and admiration of the bull riding world. During his 12 year career at the PBR he has covered an impressive 46.25% of his bulls and has 40 career 90 point rides.
His quiet demeanor and humble personality has made him a fan favorite and solidly earned him the respect of his bull riding peers. Priefert is proud that Robson Palermo has chosen to use Priefert products at his home ranch near Tyler, Texas and is equally proud he is wearing the Priefert name as he continues to compete in the PBR and teach bull riding to the young riders.
